The ending of my book ended with a conflict between Slam and Ice. Slam had found out that Ice had been selling drugs the whole time and didn't like it at all and when they were at a party Slam and Ice got into a fight and Ice had kept calling Ice a Punk. As Ice was calling him a Punk Slam walked out of the party and had left to go home and was very upset. The Conflict had not been resolved between Ice and Slam. Slams team had also won the basket-ball championship with his school. The ending of my book kept me on the seat of my chair I loved it. Throughout my book I didn't really like it. It had to many parts of the book about there games and play by play action and no action about there life. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who doesn't like sports or basket-ball. I would recommend this book to people who love basket-ball and can keep up with boring play by play action. I would rate this book 7/10 and would read more than once.

The conflict that is currently happening in my book so far is that Slams girlfriend Mitisha is telling slam that his best friend Ice is selling drugs. Slam doesn't know who to believe he has Ice telling him he is not selling drugs because that will get a brother in trouble. Slams team had also just won the basket-ball championship for there school and there was a party for them the next night. Everybody was at that this party celebrating their win and Slam had went to look for Ice outside but couldn't find him. Then he had found him outside talking to a girl that was looking for a fix and Ice had sold here to vial and then once Slam saw that he immediately walked away and Ice had tryed to stop him from walking away and Slam had got into a fight with Ice and Slam got up and walked away and left and went home.

Question: Do you think that Slam is ever going to talk to Ice ever again after finding out he sells drugs.

I have just finished my second section of my book Slam. In these chapters that i have read it wasn't very interesting the events that took place is slam had still been failing math so his principal of his school had recommended that he get a tutor. Slam wasn't very happy with that idea slam was hard headed and he believed he could do it all himself he didn't take the offer and walked out of the office. His mother had recommended that he took the offer but he denied it.



Slam had been able to play his first basket-ball game and help the team out a lot but he didn't feel satisfied with it.After the basket-ball game him and his friends from his team decided to go out for a bit and celebrate there win and there was a girl named Kiki in the back of the car and she had been all over slam the whole night kissing on his neck and stuff. Mitisha his lover of the story she had been worried about his where abouts because he usually calls her after his games but he didn't. Then the next morning Mitisha showed up to his front door and screamed at him and left his house.



After words him and Mitisha had made up and solved all there problems in the first section there was a character named Ice witch is Slam best friend and Mitisha had brought up to slam that she had suspicion that Ice had been selling rocks at the corner and Slam didn't believe it he didn't want to believe it and Mitisha had been asking slam if he has talked to Ice he keeps brushing it off and moved on with his life. There had been a scout that had came out to one of there ball games and was scouting for Browns college and was watching a player on his team named nick. He had been one of the stars of the team and Slam wasn't very happy because he had felt had better ball skills then he had and been scouting the wrong player. Slams Grandma is still in the hospital shes still really sick but is looking better each day.



Question:

Do you think that Slam's best friend Ice is selling drugs? Should Slam believe Mitisha and approach Ice about it or keep shrugging it off? Would you believe your best friend or would you believe your girlfriend?

The book that I have chosen to read is Slam by Walter Dean Myers. At the Beginning of the book so far the main character that has been introduce is Greg Slam Harris but people just call him slam that's what they call him on the streets and also his family. Slam is a great basket-ball player he stands 6'2 and goes to a school named Latimer. Slam lives with his mother his father and his Little brother.



Slam was transferred to Latimer from Carver to play basket-ball but he is unable to play right now due to his grades in school and his coach is not letting him see the court . When his father isn't working he seems to always have a bottle to his mouth but when he is working he drinks occasionally Would you call him a alcoholic? Slam try's to watch out for his brother as much as possible but his brother has a big mouth on him and slam feels it's going to him in some trouble but his brother seems to never learn. His grandmother is also in the hospital and on her death bed. Slam has a lover named Mtisha he also has a best friend named ice there very tight they have been best friends since there were kids.

Question:
If you were in Slam's shoes and you were on a sports team with your school and you were unable to play due to your grades how would you react? Do you agree with his coach or disagree.
